Squamish Public Library
Community Meeting RoomLearn all about sharks in this hands-on program!
Did you know that sharks are older than trees? Or that there are more than 500 species of sharks found around the world?
While sharks are often portrayed as fierce and dangerous predators, they are actually amazing animals that play an important role in keeping our oceans healthy. In this interactive program, participants will become explorers, uncovering what makes these incredible creatures so unique.
Through engaging activities, participants will learn about the variety of shark species in the waters of British Columbia, the challenges sharks face in today's oceans, and the actions we can take to help protect them. Along the way, they'll explore shark adaptations, habitats, and the important role sharks play in marine ecosystems.
This workshop is for explorers of all ages!
