The start of a new year often brings pressure to set big goals or “fix” ourselves — but what if we slowed down and reflected instead?
New Year, New Mind is a relaxed, reflective session designed to help men take stock of where they’re at in life, without the harsh self-judgment that often comes with New Year’s resolutions. Please note, this is not a group therapy session — the offering invites personal reflections and will not involve group discussion with other attendees.
Through light, guided activities, participants will explore what truly feels sustainable and meaningful for them in the year ahead. The session also offers a gentle introduction to counselling and mental health support, with open conversation about common stigmas that can make it harder for men to seek help or take time for reflection.
Led by Sapphire Harpin (RCC), this hour invites honesty, curiosity, and self-compassion — a fresh start for your mind, not just your calendar.
Two ways to attend: in-person or online!
UK-born and now based in Squamish, Sapphire began her career in consultancy and transformation projects before discovering her own “sustainable” path and retraining in counselling. She now leads a team of counsellors at Inner Sphere Wellness, where she’s passionate about helping others find balance, connection, and meaning in their lives. Her therapeutic approach is warm, down-to-earth and direct.
Conveniently located downtown, the Squamish Public Library has a large meeting room, quiet study spaces, an outdoor pickup window, and an art gallery.
