Join Michael Allen to learn about Squamish River watershed wildlife!
Join us at the library as we welcome back Michael Allen for his spring update about wildlife activity in the Sea-to-Sky.
2025 marks Michael Allen's 32nd year of collecting data on bears in the Sea to Sky Corridor. This year experienced continued drought, some small fires, but good berry crops and so far, good Pink and Sockeye salmon returns. Michael will discuss bear fishing strategies, the impact of the chum salmon return in November (and coho in December) on the timing of winter denning, and an overview of grizzly bear female fitness in the Upper Squamish River watershed.
Please only register for one date, as these events are popular and we want lots of people to have the opportunity to attend.
