Learn about wintering bald eagles in Squamish with the Sea-to-Sky Eagle Awareness Program.

Bald eagles come to the Squamish River every winter to feed on the spawning salmon. Dr. Judith Knapp and Wolfgang Pauli will share fascinating facts about the bald eagles that winter in Squamish!

Come hear about everything you want to know about eagles, including:

  • Bald eagles' life cycles
  • Why bald eagles arrive in number to the Squamish Valley
  • The relationship between bald eagles and salmon
  • Characteristics of bald eagles
  • Bald eagles' relationship with humans
  • The annual eagle count in Squamish
  • And more!

There will be eagle photos, video footage, and scientific specimens.
